About the Plano Photography Club

Who We Are

PPC Logo

The aim of the Plano Photography Club is the enjoyment, mastery, and furtherance of photography through cooperation, effort, and good fellowship. Serving Plano and surrounding areas, we welcome photographers of all skill levels.

The club was organized in 1984 and incorporated In 1990 as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.

Additional information about the club's origins and early years is available on the Our History page.

PDF copies of the Club’s By-Laws and Constitution are available.

Each week we have a new Topic of the Week photo activity. When in-person club activities are held, they are tailored to the current state and federal health guidelines. The safety of our club members is of paramount importance.

Membership in the PPC is open to amateurs, enthusiasts, and professionals with an interest in expanding their photographic skills and practicing their craft with others.

Where and When We Meet

Monthly club meetings are held at West Plano Presbyterian Church, 2709 Custer Road, Plano, Texas on the third Thursday of each month (except December when no meeting is held).

Club programs begin promptly at 7:00 PM. Preceding the program in most months, there is a training session (study groups) at 6:00 PM.

Adults across all skill levels, from beginner to professional, are welcome to join and participate in club meetings and activities.

During our meetings we usually have a guest speaker who covers a topic of interest to our group. We conclude each meeting with a judge's commentary on the prior month's photo competition and announce the competition awards.

Guests are welcome to attend our monthly club meetings. Check out our schedule of upcoming programs and if you see one you would like to attend, please let us know via email.

Executive Committee Meetings

Monthly executive committee meetings are normally held via Zoom at 7:00 PM on the first Thursday of each month (except December when no meeting is held).
